After 500+ rejections over 17 years of submission, โ€˜NOโ€™ became another word. Like every writer, I pour blood, sweat and tears in my pagesโ€ฆ but when the time is right, I sever the emotional cord and delete what needs to go. If that โ€˜Noโ€™ from a rejection applied to my workโ€ฆ I extracted what was useful and let the rest go. ๐Ÿ–Š๏ธ I choose what to delete and what stays. ๐Ÿ–‹ ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿ–‹ ๐Ÿ“šAs a survivor of domestic violence and abuseโ€ฆ So too, in my personal life, I get to choose what to delete and what stays. Some elements stick more than I intend, itโ€™s a learning process to heal through and let go. One day at a time.
